Upon arrival at JRO, your family will be greeted by your private guide. We transfer to a quiet lodge in Arusha where the children can relax by the pool after the flight. Dinner and a pre-safari briefing follow.
Drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive elephant herds and baobab trees. We spend the day tracking "the giants" and enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild. Overnight at a lodge overlooking the park.
Explore the groundwater forest of Manyara, home to baboons and tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, we visit the village of Mto wa Mbu for a cultural tour and a local lunch experience.
Two full days in the iconic Serengeti. We track the great herds of the migration and keep our eyes peeled for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. We stay in a tented lodge that brings the sounds of the Serengeti right to your doorstep.
Morning game drive in Serengeti. We then drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge (the Cradle of Mankind) for an interactive history lesson for the children.
Descend 600m into the crater for a half-day game drive. This is the best place to see the rare Black Rhino. After lunch by the Hippo Pool, we drive back to Karatu for a farewell dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast, we drive back to Arusha. Enjoy some souvenir shopping at the local markets before your transfer to the airport for your flight home or onward to Zanzibar.
